Striking brutalist floor lamp made by unknown maker in France 1950s. This lamp shows excellent craftsmanship and many beautiful raw yet refined details. This piece is fully handmade, out of cast iron therefore the base is very stable. The three shades are made of fiberglass, also hand made with a rope stitching pattern on the rims. The original fiberglass structure gives a nice light effect when lit. The lamp has a bit something from the designs by Jean Touret for Atelier Marolles, we didn’t find enough similarities to attribute a name to this piece. None the less, a very interesting piece of French design from the brutalist period which looks highly decorative when lit.
The lamp uses 3x B22 lamps up to 75 watt each. This lamp is checked in our own atelier, cleaned and is suitable for use in the USA. For US usage we could change the plug, or you can get a converter if needed for a floor or table lamp with transformer in it. Feel free to inquire for options.
