Minimalist and industrial designed small sized ‘Pyramid’ table designed by Wim Rietveld and manufactured by Ahrend de Cirkel, The Netherlands 1960. It has a fantastic shaped structure, V shaped frame in black painted metal. And a very nice original Formica top which is very nice looking on this table, it has a slightly grey/green tan to it. This design is very similar to the designs by Jean Prouvé. The design was roughly inspired by the Compass table by Jean Prouve but this table was more thought after, made in this shape so It could be stacked and the Compass table can’t. As industrial design was designed to be affordable and good in use, this is one of the leaders of that quote! The table is marked Ahrend de Cirkel on the structure. This table won a signe d´or in 1960 which is very special for a design as well functional, affordable, and beautiful. The table is in original condition with wear due to age and usage, mainly on the metal structure which has some paint losses, but this wear gives the piece more character and suits its appearance. The top size is 100×70 cm. Since the tables are stackable with frame is wider than the top. Chair is not included in this listing but can be purchased separately with it.
