Wim den Boon modernist sofa Holland 1963

Unique sofa designed by Wim den Boon for a house in Rotterdam, Holland 1963. This stunning geometrical sofa was designed as part of the interior of a home in Rotterdam 1963. This sofa is unique and is made of solid oak panels and black laminated and partly painted cubes where the seating part rests on. The upholstery is in brown leather and its the original one but shows significant signs of age and usage, can be redone to the buyers wishes. This monumental sofa is very sturdy and the wood has an amazing patina from age. It can be used as a free standing sofa in a modern home or interior. This design is very characteristic for the designs by Wim den Boon. Similar designs are published in the little book Wim den boon – Binnenhuisarchitect – 1912-1968 (published by Peter Vöge). Super nice minimal and large sized sofa, for someone who wants a piece of history in his home or interior.
