Rare unique pair of chairs designed by architect Wim den Boon, Holland ca 1965. These super chairs were inspired by the modular sofa by Nelson and the chairs by Florence Knoll in the days. They are made of a black square tubular frame and camel brown faux leather. The chairs are in sublime condition, just the black lacquered frame has some normal age wear and paint loss. The chairs seat very comfortable and look amazing in a pair.
Provenance: These chairs were directly purchased from the daughter of famous architect De la Haye where Den Boon decorated the apartment for in Brussels 1965, De la Haye was a personal friend of Wim den Boon. These 2 chairs come from a set of 4 with coffee table and dining table with chairs. So you can call this a practically unique pair. Would look great in any modern design home or office.
