Nice large modernist wardrobe designed by Willy van der Meeren and manufactured by Tubax, Belgium 1952. This wardrobe was actually designed for schools but are used for multiple purposes now. Very nice example of Belgian modernism designed by van der Meeren who was one of the most important designers of that period. The cabinet has a black painted metal structure with teak wooden side panels and top. The sliding doors are made of light blue and blue metal with solid teak handles which are very similar to the handles by Jean Prouve and Charlotte Perriand. The cabinet has a nice aged patina and usage signs and is in fully original condition. Very nice and well kept piece of Belgian design, hard to find nowadays.
