Very impressive, large sized so called ‘Triclinio’ chandelier designed by Vico Magistretti and manufactured by Artemide, Italy 1967. This lamp developed out of the ‘Clinio’ lamp designed in 1961. Magistretti designed the model Clinio (1961) which turned out to become a modular design in 1967 which developed into the Triclionio, Pentaclinio and the Eptaclinio, which is the largest lamp with seven shades. This example has 3 shades which are made from white opaline glass which surround a large globe which contains the actual bulb. The shades are being held by a nickel-plated metal fixture that is very nicely fixed with an ingenious system to hang everything properly. The lamp uses 3x E27 bulbs up to 100 watt each. The lamp is in fantastic condition without any damages to the glass and a nice patina to the nickel-plated structure. An icon which is less common because not that much were produced at the time.
This lamp is checked in our own atelier, cleaned and is suitable for use in the USA. For US usage we could change the plug, or you can get a converter if needed for a floor or table lamp with transformer in it. Feel free to inquire for options.
