Two tone drop leaf table made in Sweden 1960 Borge Mogensen

Extraordinary functional so called ‘drop-leaf’ table made by unknown designer but strongly attributed to Borge Mogensen, Soborg Sweden 1960. This table is very similar to a table designed by Mogensen, with only small and minor difference in details. However, we could not find this table as a design by Mogensen. The same different wood was used, only this table is a symmetrical and slightly oval shaped which is actually more interesting to look at. With 2 different sized folding leaf’s this table has an unusual shape which is aesthetically very interesting. You can fold both tops down, each of on up, and both of them. You can also remove the folding tops fairly easily as they hang in brass holders with their hooks. Making this table not only beautiful but also very functional. It is in very good condition; the teak wooden top was restored in our own atelier and looks perfect again. The legs are in solid oak and have small solid teak feet which is a feature also used by Finn Juhl and Peter Hvidt & Orla Molgaard Nielsen. A very nice and high-quality table which can be used in different settings of a mid-century Scandinavian modern design lover.

The table top is refinished in our own atelier with high quality UV protection lacquer with preservation of authenticity. Also, completely structural checked and ready to use.
