Highly rare rocking chair designed by Torben Skov and manufactured by Nordik Andels Eksport, Denmark 1989. It’s made from a bent beech plywood structure with a sleek white-painted and angled plywood seat and back. The seat is supported by a unique triangle-shaped structure, while the arms that go around the back support the backrest. It has a really cool and minimal appearance. Over time, it has slightly bent, but you won’t even notice when you’re using it. The chair is marked with the Nordik Andels Eksport sticker on the underside. What’s even more impressive is that this chair received the silver prize at the 1990 Asahikwa International Furniture Competition. The design of this rocking chair dates back to Thonet in Austria, originating 130 years ago. Since then, many designers have put their own spin on it, and this particular one stands out with its excellent construction and simple, contemporary design.
