Rare and early floor lamp designed and manufactured by Stilnovo, Italy ca. 1949. This amazing 3-armed floor lamp has a solid brass structure, the centre pole is ribbed, and it contains 3 adjustable arms. The brass has an amazing original patina which it got over time. The knobs to adjust this lamp are absolutely amazing and they are not only functional, but also a part of the lamps design. The typical Stilnovo shaped shades have their original brown finish and are in excellent condition. The shades are fully adjustable due to the double functional joints that attach the arms to the shades. All shades have a die cut pattern which was integrated to let the heat out the shade, but they also give a nice light effect when lit. We kept this lamp fully original, if wanted the brass can be polished shiny. This early Stilnovo floor lamp is a fine example of post war Italian design. Where not a lot of metal materials were in stock, less thick metal parts were used in the designs. This large sized and fully authentic floor lamp is in museum quality, and also the early Stilnovo pieces are very difficult to come across. Lamp uses 3x E27 bulb up to 60 watt each.
This lamp is checked in our own atelier, cleaned and is suitable for use in the USA. For US usage we could change the plug, or you can get a converter if needed for a floor or table lamp with transformer in it. Feel free to inquire for options.
