Striking asymmetrical chandelier designed and manufactured by Stilnovo, Italy 1960. This rare and unusual shaped chandelier has a beautiful architectural shape. The black wire support in the middle, makes sure the wires have a very elegant shape and are a part of the design and form of the structure. The ceiling canopy is a typical design by Stilnovo as well with the beautiful detailed hexagonal shaped screws which were a trademark for the designs by Stilnovo. The round shaped matt opaline glass globes are finished with a black aluminium cap on the top which hides the insides structure where the socket is attached to. The lamp is also marked with the Stilnovo sticker on the inside of the lamps structure. Together with Arteluce, Arredoluce and Stilux, Stilnovo was at the top of the market. This is a fairly rare and never seen before model, probably not a lot of them were made. The lamp uses 2x E27 lamp bulbs up to 75 watt each. The lamp is in very good and fully original condition, easy to ceiling hang as well as companies like Stilnovo really thought about a way to mount lamps as easy as possible.
This lamp is checked in our own atelier, cleaned and is suitable for use in the USA.
