Wonderful so called ‘Vronka’ lounge chair designed by Sergio Rodrigues and manufactured by OCA, Brazil 1962. This beautiful shaped lounge chair is a great example of Brazilian modernism. The minimalistic but bulky solid rosewood frame, fairly simple constructed using a few bolts which were covered by chrome caps. The solid rosewood frame supports the organic shaped seat which we have reupholstered in a beige bouclé fabric. The contradictory shapes of the straightforward structure and playful seat, make this chair very interesting to look at. It also makes it easier to adapt in both minimalistic and eclectic interiors. The chair is a very comfortable one, and with the cosy fabric you can lounge on this beauty for hours. The rosewood structure is in fantastic untouched condition with slight patina from age and usage. A nice example of Brazilian design by one of the most important designers from Brazil and the mid 20th century.
