Sergio Asti 257 wall lamp Arteluce 1966

Very nice, large and rare 4-armed wall lamp model 257 designed by Sergio Asti and manufactured by Arteluce, Italy 1966. This is for model number 257 documented in the Arteluce catalogue, picture available upon request. The lamp has a 4-armed structure in brass and 4 frosted glass globes that give very nice, diffused light when lit. Brass furniture and lights were became fashion again at the end of the 1960s. With the Hollywood regency period coming up, a lot of manufacturers started to produce their furniture and lamps in brass. This lamp is a great example of that as Arteluce stopped using a lot of brass at the end of the 1950s but started to experiment again with it towards the end of the 1960s. The lamp can be placed both ways if wanted, we liked it most positioned like this. The lamp uses 4x E14 bubs up to 40 watt each. The lamp is in very good original condition with minor wear from age and usage and a nice gentle patina to the brass but still very clean and shiny. We haev another one available in black painted finish.

This lamp is checked in our own atelier, cleaned and is suitable for use in the USA.
