This sculptural chandelier, is a unique piece designed by Salvino Marsura and crafted in his Italian atelier in 1970, is a stunning fusion of art and functionality. Made from meticulously hammered and welded wrought iron, it boasts a bold brutalist aesthetic. The varying finishes add depth and texture, giving the piece a dynamic presence. Marsura’s signature can be found on one of the arms, confirming its authenticity. With the currently used half mirrored bulbs, te lamp give a very nice light effect when lit. Easy to hang, it retains its original hanging arms and can be adjusted in height with an additional chain—customization options are available upon request.
Salvino Marsura, born in Treviso in 1938, has had a 60-year career, creating sculptures, furniture, and architectural elements. His work is rooted in traditional blacksmithing, using forge, anvil, and hammer to transform metal into expressive, soulful pieces. After apprenticing with Toni Benetton, Marsura embarked on a solo journey, overcoming obstacles and gaining recognition far beyond Treviso. His creations, whether geometric or naturalistic, figurative or abstract, are driven by instinct and an almost biological energy, resulting in pieces that transcend mere craftsmanship, embodying raw artistic expression.
This lamp is checked in our own atelier, cleaned and is also suitable for use in the USA. For US usage we could change the plug, or you can get a converter if needed for a floor or table lamp with transformer in it. Customization of height is available for an additional fee. Feel free to inquire for options.
