Nice Italian modernist sleeping sofa made and designed by Rossi di Albizzate, Italy 1950. A very important Italian sofa by Rossi di Albizzate, an Italian furniture company in Varese that is making Italian quality furniture for over 80 years now. This is one of the very early works by Rossi di Albizzate, a company that was founded by Giuseppe Rossi and Maria Saporiti in 1935. A few great names that designed for Rossi di Abizzate; Matteo Thun, Marcello Cuneo and Giotto Stoppino for example. This rare sofa is a unique find and its confirmed to be manufactured by this old Italian company in the 1950s. The sofa is in original condition with wear from age and usage to the leather as is visible on the pictures but still firm and comfortable seating. Very nice typical Italian lounge sofa.
Leather is reconditioned with a leather care product special for vintage leather.
