Ronald Willemsen side table Metaform Netherlands 1982

Sculptural side table model RW1 designed by Ronald Willemsen and manufactured by Metaform, Holland 1982. This well-designed side table is made of solid steel, white painted and of heavy quality. The table was awarded by the Dutch ‘Goed wonen’ foundation who awarded designs every year for outstanding and new designs, we understand why. As this table has a playful line which doesn’t stop to amaze. It has an origami like shape, constructed out of 4 similar triangle shaped metal sheets. The Table is made of thick steel and appears to be fragile, however this was very well constructed and is very strong and firm. The nice gentle size allows this to easily match with another modern piece of design and the white colour is of course also very neutral. The table is differently nice from every angle and on top of that, it is in fantastic condition.
