Super cool ‘donut’ or ‘croissant’ lounge sofa designed by Raphael Raffel and produced by Honore Paris in France in 1970. This sofa has an amazing shape and is fully foam filled so extremely comfortable and cosy. The upholstery is its original warm cognac leather with fantastic original patina and beautiful stitching details. The grain on this leather is also a great feature and gives the sofa its character. Raphaël Raffel was born in Paris in 1912. In the 1940s, he became known for designing entire rooms, not just furniture. By the 1950s, he was collaborating with other French designers. In 1952, his work was displayed alongside designs by Georges Jouve. That same year, he helped decorate part of a big ship called Le Bretagne. Raphaël was famous for using fancy materials like lacquer and bronze, and his work looked like it was from a fancy time in history called the Louis XVI period. Honore Paris was a high end furniture brand specializing in custom furniture and home decor. The croissant sofa designed by Raffel, is one of their most famous productions.
