Amazing set of 2 model PK33 stools designed by Poul Kjaerholm and a first production manufactured by Ejvind Kold Christensen, Denmark 1959. This pair of stools has a matt chrome plated spring steel frame with black plastic floor protection feet. The laminated wooden ring, which is painted in grey, is connected to the steel frame with 3 rubber rings. The seats still have their original cognac leather cushions, one of the seats has a professional repair but they show an amazing patina from several years of usage. The tripod structure of the stool is very stable and because of the solid steel they are also heavy which contributes to the stability of the stools. This stool might seem simple but the way this is constructed out of 4 different materials without clashing in the aesthetics is truly amazing. The stools are in fully original condition with their original leather seats which have a nice original patina from years of use and makes these stools unique with their own character. The matt chrome plated structure is also in very good condition with normal age-related wear. The stools are both stamped with the Ejvind Kold Christensen (Denmark) stamp. This was purchased together with the PK31/2 Kjaerholm sofas we have available in another listing, nice to combine with those sofas as they are coming from the same house, all early E. Kold Christensen productions. A true collector’s item in fantastic original and well-maintained shape for their age. Priced and sold individually but amazing looking in a pair of course.
