Very clean set of so called ‘Pigreco’ chairs designed by Afra and Tobia Scarpa and produced by Gavina in Italy, 1957. This set of 4 beautiful dining chairs is in very good condition, and have stood the test of time very well. The seats still have the original leather and are provided with new filling. No cracks or loose joinery or further signs of previous repairs can be found on the frame. There a only a few points where the frame is secured, which is something very recognizeable for the work of the Scarpa duo. The striking Rosewood grain in combination with the bent wood backrest and overall simplistic appeal, make these design icons really stand out. This flawless looking set is priced and sold in a set of 4 and would make a very nice addition to any eclectic collection.
