Super comfortable pair of lounge chairs model S15 designed by Pierre Chapo and manufactured in his own workshop, France 1967. This pair of chairs illustrates the technical prowess of the 48×72 assembly. The crosspieces of the frame are smart designed and very solid. The carefully crafted back features one thick leather panel to support the back cushion, also the sides and back have an extra leather strap to support the cushions. This is one of the most powerful designs by Pierre Chapo as this design required a lot of thinking to carry both strength and beauty. The chairs are made of solid elmwood and thick black leather. In stunning condition with minor patina from age and usage. Comfortable seating because of the feather filled cushions.
Pierre Chapo is amongst the most uprising designers from the French soil. Catching up with the renowed works by Charlotte Perriand as the quality is very similar and the style very close to the designs by Perriand.
