Very nice “von Elsleben” armchair by architect and designer Paul von Schneider, manufactured by Wilde & Spieth in Germany 1955. This chair is in a very good and original condition, the frame has a nice age to it and the rattan itself has stood the test of time very well. Despite the minimalistic appeal of the chair, there a some details like the stance and tapered backrest that make it such a great design that looks ahead of it’s time, especially since it came from the 1950’s. The nicest detail is the solid teak wooden arm rests which have a beautiful hand crafted shape.
