Very nice and unusual triangle shaped coffee table designed and made by Paul Kingma, Holland 1995. This is for an nice and unusual sized triangle dark grey one, these shaped ones are hard to find and mostly only made on request for a customer. The large and heavy concrete with slate inlay top rests on 2 metal C shaped bases that are black lacquered. Very nice composition of slate and stones make this table a work of art to use. This is a very nice dark grey one special blue stone inlay and that is quite special with these tables. The table has a very nice compostition and is signed on the top in the brass inlayed plate; Kingma 1995.
Paul Kingma was well known for his architectural tables that pay a tribute to the riches of Nature by traveling extensively in search of rare materials, whether raw or industrially produced. He combines recourse to materials used in architecture like stone, metal and concrete, with rich varied materials as brass, copper, glass or ceramic. All his tables are unique one off productions and when he got famous, most were special client’s orders. All his tables are marked, the early ones only at the bottom, from the 1960s he started marking them with a metal tag at the top and later he also added the production year.
We have been working with Paul Kingma’s work for several years now and prices have increased a lot, where the offer on these tables lowered. Especially the nice early undamaged examples are hard to find. With this in your home you will have something nobody has!
