Very nice sober and early example of a Paul Kingma coffee table. Paul Kingma was well known for his architectural tables that pay a tribute to the riches of Nature by travelling extensively in search of rare materials, whether raw or industrially produced. He combines recourse to materials used in architecture like stone, metal and concrete, with rich varied meterials as brass, copper, glass or ceramic. All his tables are unique one off productions and when he got famous, most were client’s orders. This is a very nice example with sober stones tiles combined with dark stone. This is a very early '63 table as he started making table in '61. This one is marked Kingma 1963 at the back and has its hand print. In good and original condition. Monumental table and work of art combined.
