Pastoe CB03 cabinet by Cees Braakman 1954


Item description

Very nice cabinet model CB03 designed by Cees Braakman for pastoe UMS, Holland 1954. This cabinet is from the famous birch series designed by Braakman who inspired these series on the designs by Edward J. Wormley. The new technique of working with plywood materials were discovered by Charles and Ray Eames and after the war this way of making furniture was introduced by designers as Cor Alons, Cees Braakman and Willem Lutjens. The significant use of these bent wood legs are now known worldwide and highly wanted. This example has very nice grey/yellow lacquered doors and on the inside a shelve and 2 drawers. Very nice and clever cabinet by Braakman.
