Stunning set of ‘Pagru’ lounge chairs by designer Claudio Vagnoni and produced in Italy by 1P in 1971. The condition of the chairs are really good, and have never been seperated. There are no diffusions between the chairs and the colour of the leather. Since the leather is quite soft it is imaginable how well this pair has been taken care of.
The base itself consists of plastic, and is very typical for the work of Vagnoli. The leather and base have a nice patina, but there are no further significant imperfections worth mentioning. The shape is just a very good example of Italian industrial design of the seventies, whereas from the postwar period, Italian design kept making more and more name for itself and experimented with new ways of designing, and experienced a wave of designers trying to work with injection molding plastics.
This beautiful pair is priced and sold in a set of 2.
The leather is reconditioned with a leather care product special for vintage leather in order to give it some strength, color and protection again after many years of usage.
