Elegant adjustable table lamp designed by Oscar Torlasco and manufactured by Lumi in Italy in 1950. The lamp has a white adjustable aluminum shade that can be moved around making it really fun. Inside the shade at the top, there’s a black plate hanging from small brass arms, and there’s a brass knob in the middle to adjust the shade’s position. The lamp has a brass stem and details, and it sits on a black base. The stem looks cool with brass square tubes visually bound together by a black ring in the middle. The lamp turns on with a button on the base, which is black and has a brass ring at the bottom. Gives soft and ambient light.
Oscar Torlasco (1934 – 2004) established himself in the 1950s and 1960s designing lighting for different Italian manufacturers. This lamp was manufactured by Lumi which was one of the most innovative lighting design companies in Italy during the mid-century period, together with Stilnovo, Arteluce and Arredoluce they were at the top of the market.
This lamp is checked in our own atelier, cleaned and is suitable for use in the USA. For US usage we could change the plug, or you can get a converter if needed for a floor or table lamp with transformer in it.
