Though the designer remains unknown, the craftsmanship and aesthetic language speak clearly to the elevated standards and design ethos of the era. This bed was purchased together with other items from Molteni, such as Monk chairs by Afra e Tobia Scarpa for example.

Constructed in a harmonious blend of solid and veneered walnut, the bed exudes a bold, sculptural presence characteristic of 1970s Italian design. Its form is confident and grounded, yet a clever structural detail. The recessed base frame, gives the piece a light, floating appearance.
