Fantastic sculpted pair of table lamps designed by Michel Mangematin, France 1970. These solid bronze table lamps have an amazing abstract modern base, very heavy! The shades are new, black silk outside and golden inside matches perfectly with the base. The lamps work perfectly and give amazing warm light when lit. The bronze is shiny and clean. Very hard to find lamps, especially in a pair.
Michel Mangematin was a French architect from the Paris Beaux Arts school. He went to United States and worked by Frank Lloyd Wright and Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. He also designed a few furniture pièces as this, a chair, armchair, and three tables with crossed feet recalling the Rohe.
All our lights are checked, cleaned and are suitable for use in the USA. For US usage you would only have to change the plug or get a converter if needed.
If you don’t like the shade on this lamp we can have it redone in any wanted color or fabric to your own choice and keep the original form or shape of the shade.
