A refined and sophisticated ceiling light designed by Max Ingrand for Fontana Arte, Italy, in the late 1960s. This piece showcases a matte opaline glass diffuser paired with a mesmerizing inner blown-glass elemented shape that evokes the appearance of a celestial body, offering a truly distinctive and atmospheric visual experience. The ceiling mount is made from solid brass, showing a rich, aged patina that adds character. Three black-painted rods support the fixture; these have minor wear to the paint due to age, though restoration is available upon request to return them to their original finish. This particular model is documented in the 1967 Fontana Arte catalogue (no. 7). Apart from the light wear on the supporting rods, the piece is in excellent original condition, with the glass remaining flawless. It’s a rare and striking design that brings a sense of elegance and charm to any interior.
