Large sized wall lamp model 2139 designed by Max Ingrand and manufactured by Fontana Arte, Italy 1960. This nice large sized wall lamp has a chrome plated meta casing which has a nice abstract shape which has an architectural building element feel to it. The shade is very typical for the designs by Max Ingrand. It is a long glass diffuser, where on the inside the strip is matt and there are 5 square parts hammered out of the glass which gives the lamp a fantastic abstract sculptural feel. These 5 squares also make sure more light comes through, but they are mainly an aesthetic feature to the design. This also makes every lamp unique as this was always handwork and different in every lamp. Fontana Arte was known for its outstanding quality lights and was only sold to the avant-garde from Italy. Also, because it was too expensive for regular earning people. Makes the lamps from Fontana Arte highly wanted and also very hard to find. The lamp uses 4x E14 bulbs up to 25 watt each. It is in very good original condition.
This lamp is checked in our own atelier, cleaned and is suitable for use in the USA. For US usage we could change the plug, or you can get a converter if needed for a floor or table lamp with transformer in it. Feel free to inquire for options.
