Presenting a beautiful pendant lamp, model 1995, designed by the illustrious Max Ingrand and manufactured by Fontana Arte, Italy in 1960. This exquisite piece exudes a stylish and classy aesthetic, infused with a touch of brutalist charm through its use of high-quality, solid materials and the distinctive, raw finish of the cut glass diffuser shade. The lamp’s structure is meticulously crafted from nickel-plated brass, showcasing both durability and elegance. The diffuser shade, made from faceted cut crystal glass, adds a unique, three-dimensional atmospheric quality to the light it emits. This thoughtful design not only enhances the visual appeal but also creates a captivating play of light and shadow in any space.
Maintaining its fully original condition, the pendant lamp boasts an amazing patina on its nickel-plated structure which is visible on the pictures, and which we have chosen to preserve for its authentic, time-worn beauty. However, the patina can be polished to a shiny finish if desired. The lamp accommodates an E27 bulb up to 75 watts and is dimmable, offering versatility in lighting ambiance.
This lamp has been thoroughly inspected in our atelier, where it underwent superficial cleaning to ensure it is suitable for use in the USA. Fontana Arte, renowned for its outstanding quality lights, catered to the avant-garde of Italy, making these lamps a rare and coveted find due to their exclusivity and high cost at the time of production.
