This exquisite triple pendant lamp, model 2210, was designed by Max Ingrand and manufactured by Fontana Arte in Italy, 1960s. A testament to timeless elegance and exceptional craftsmanship, this piece combines high-quality materials with an effortlessly sophisticated aesthetic. The pendant features three beautifully structured glass shades, each composed of four grey glass panels affixed to an X-shaped brass structure with finely detailed screws and bolts. Inside each shade, a white matte milk glass diffuser in a cylindrical form softens the light, creating a mesmerizing, atmospheric glow.
The solid brass structure of the lamp, including the arm and fittings, has developed a stunning natural patina over time, adding character and depth. While the brass can be polished to a gleaming finish, the current aged look enhances its vintage appeal. The interplay of glass and brass elements gives the lamp a three-dimensional, sculptural presence, making it not only a functional lighting solution but also a statement piece.
As one of Fontana Arte’s finest creations, this model was originally sold exclusively to the Italian avant-garde, as its exceptional quality made it inaccessible to the general public. Decades later, Fontana Arte lamps remain highly sought after, prized for their rarity and exquisite design.
