Super rare sculptural and elegant floor lamp designed by Maurizio Tempestini and manufactured by Reggiani Lampadari, Italy 1954. Alongside Gino Sarfatti, Maurizio Tempestini co-founded the S.A. Arteluce Company in Milan back in 1939. Shortly after he left the company and started his own. The lamp’s base is a masterpiece in itself – its shape is both sculptural and refined, made from black finished iron. Providing stability is a triangular Carrara marble base. At the top rests a beautifully round fabric shade that diffuses light in a soft, ambient glow. Remarkably, the lamp is in its original condition with its normal wear from age to the base and metal structure. It includes the on/off pull cords and the shade. A unique mark of authenticity lies in the Reggiani lampadari logo, subtly placed at the center of the base of the shade. Designed for the “Mostra della C.N.A. (Compagnia Nazionale Artigiana),
Publication; ” X Triennale di Milano, 1954, Pag. 89/90. Fig. n. 193,194,198.
