Stunning post modern ‘Palm spring’ floor lamp designed by Matteo Thun and Maurizo Favetta, and manufactured by Tronconi, Italy 1989. This postmodern floor lamp, has the shape of a spring, and it also reminds us of the trunk of a palm tree, hence the name. It is made of mubltiple conical aluminium stacked shades which make sure the light which is coming from the bottom is spread in an equal way to create a beautiful light effect. Thun’s work is driven by the search for sophistication and subtle irony, with this model being an example of this. Matteo Thun was an associate of the Memphis design group in the early 1980s. This lamp is a great example coming from the post modern period. The lamp uses an E27 bulb up to 150 watt and its dimmable too.
This lamp is checked in our own atelier, cleaned and is suitable for use in the USA. For US usage we could change the plug or you can get a converter if needed for a floor or table lamp with transformer in it. Feel free to inquire for options.
