Very nice set of sofa tables designed and made by Marcus Kingma, Holland 1988. Marcus was the son of Paul Kingma who started making these kind tables in the 1960s. Marcus was of course inspired by his fathers work and started making tables on his own during the 1980s and 1990s. This is for a very nice and more rare set of 2 sofa tables in smaller size. The tables are marked M.Kingma ’88 on the tops. The bases are made of 2 folded metal U shapes, black painted. The top is concrete layed in with slate, stone and brass details. Nice collectible tables, unique one off set which is a work of art on its own.
We have been working with Marcus and Paul Kingma’s work for several years now and prices have increased a lot, where the offer on these tables lowered. Especially the nice early undamaged examples are hard to find. With this in your home you will have something nobody has.
