Very nice and minimalistic set of ‘Marcel’ sofas designed by Kazuhide Takahama and produced in Italy by Gavina in 1965. This beautiful set is in very good condition and has been reupholstered by us in high quality sand colored Italian Bouclé. Kazuhide, well known for his futuristic designs created the Marcel series as interchangable blocks that are held together by aluminum brackets, who visibly clamp around the bottom and back of the sofa. This distinctive and minimalist approach gives the user the option to try different seating variations but at the same time form new compositions as well.
