A typical seventies coffee table designed by unknown designer and manufactured by Kappa, France 1970s. This amazing asymmetrical coffee table has a stainless-steel ring-shaped structure and is finished with smoked glass tops. These materials were highly popular during the sixties and seventies as many architects and designers used this in their projects. Some big names for example Maria Pergay, Francois Monnet, Michel Boyer. Unfortunately, we didn’t find a clear attribution to this piece. None the less a rare and uncommon table. The stainless-steel structure has a clever design with a cut on the top part where the glass top slides in, and rests on the ring-shaped structure. The lower level of the table has a smoked glass top as well, which reflection gives the table an interesting dimension. It is also practical to store stuff underneath and even makes it possible to use the table as a bar table where you can store bottles underneath. The table is in very good original condition, slight and normal signs of use to the stainless steel and glass, but no mention worthy marks to point out. A highly decorative piece from the 70s French important design period.
