Elegant set of 6 ‘model 31’ dining chairs designed by Kai Kristiansen and manufactured by Schou Andersen, Denmark 1956. These typical Danish Modern dining chairs have solid rosewood frames which have the appearance to disappear in the upholstery. This feature gives the chairs a magical look and makes these chairs unique in their own way. The beautiful solid rosewood has amazing veins running through. The chairs were reupholstered in a beautiful cosy grey beige bouclé. Not only are these chairs beautiful, but also very pleasant to use. Because of the soft feel of the bouclé fabric and the upholstered back which provides comfort, small arms running down towards the seat give a little bit of extra support. Another nice detail is the back legs which are not straight but if you look at them from the side you will see that they are almost running diagonally to the back and also position towards the inside. When you see them from the front or back, this gives the chairs a sculptural look. These chairs are in fantastic condition and are priced and sold in a set of 6.
Like all our upholstered pieces these can also be newly upholstered to your admiration. Ask our experienced upholstery department for an affordable quote for the item you want customized. We only use the best quality fabrics, foam, and materials for all our items. With the reupholstery we will always keep the originality in mind so the piece doesn’t lose its value and will be ready for years of use again.
