This piece is fully refinished in our own atelier with high quality UV protection lacquer with preservation of authenticity. Also completely structural checked and ready to use.
Jules Wabbes (1919 – 1974) was a professor, architect and furniture designer. When Wabbes was 24, he opened an antiques shop where some of the furniture was in need of restoration. Therefore, he opened a small workshop where he taught himself how to restore furniture. Alongside restoration he also started to design furniture. So from a totally different point of view he designed his furniture. That is probably the main reason why the pieces he designd are so different from similar designs of that period.
