Pair of rare side tables designed by Jorge Zalszupin and manufactured by his own company L’Atelier, Brazil 1959. This pair of side tables made of folded plywood tops in Jacaranda rosewood and inlayed with square white marble slab. They are supported underneath with a wooden bottom piece to support the weight of the marble and attach the top to the base. The leg is made of steel on which two cross sections are attached, one to hold and secure the top, the other functions as a base and provides stability to the tables. Variations with a wooden base and leg are also known. This table has beautiful cream white marble tops in good original condition, the rosewood sides are restored and in good condition again. The metal centre pole is painted black, and the feet are matt chrome plated finished. The feet have a nice patina from age. The tables are priced and sold in a set of 2.
