Architect and designer
Comfortable so-called Senior armchair designed by Jorge Zalszupin and manufactured by his own company L’Atelier, Brazil 1959. The Senior chair is a minimalist and early design and was produced from the beginning in 1959 up till 1969. The chair has round section feet in solid rosewood, a curved backrest and a tufted seat in fabric upholstery. The joinery and hardware are exposed and complement the dark rosewood structure. The minimalist and light looking frame is in contrast with the somewhat more elegant looking seat attached on top. The Senior chair was designed to be used at home and also in formal settings and had in addition to the 4 legged all wooden model, a variation which had two metal T-shaped legs on either side. The chair is in very good condition, with beautiful brown velvet upholstery. The chair feels very soft and seats comfortable. We have 3 chairs available in total, in different colours and fabric. Those are available in another listing, but you can see them on the last pictures.
