Jorge Zalszupin Guaruja dining table L’Atelier Brazil 1959

Stunning so called Guaruja dining table designed by Jorge Zalszupin and manufactured by l’Atelier, Brazil 1959. This stunning rare round table has a rosewood patchwork top supported by a solid concrete base, dressed in black leather. A thick metal structure supports the round top. This is probably one of the nicest editions with one concrete base which serves as pillar for the main feature of the table, the patchwork jacaranda wooden top. This was the main feature of the table; the collage using several pieces of sheets of jacaranda wood, with different tones, in the composition of the table top. This was an initiative for the rationalization and use of left-over scraps of wood available at the factory, allowing, at the same time a combination of their different colorings. The table top is completely refinished and is again in perfect condition. The leather base is in very good condition. The table can use up to 6 chairs easily.

Fully refinished with high quality UV protection lacquer with preservation of authenticity. Also completely structural checked and ready to use.
