Spectacular so called Guanabara dining table designed by Jorge Zalszupin and manufactured by l’Atelier, Brazil 1960. This stunning large table has a rosewood patchwork top supported by a solid concrete base, covered with cognac leather. A thick metal structure supports the oval top. This is probably one of the nicest editions with one concrete base which serves as pillar for the main feature of the table, the patchwork jacaranda wooden top. The idea from the patchwork top came from the use of left-over scraps of wood available at the factory, which was ofcourse super efficient. The table top is completely refinished and is again in perfect condition. The leather base is in very good original condition. The table can use up to 10 chairs easily, depending on the size of the chairs ofcourse. This was used as conference table in an office that had 10 chairs around it.
Fully refinished with high quality UV protection lacquer with preservation of authenticity. Also completely structural checked and ready to use.
