From the inception of L’Atelier, Zalszupin’s furniture was instantly recognizable for its distinctive features and modular design, offering various configurations while maintaining consistent principles.
This particular sideboard showcases the signature patchwork Jacaranda rosewood veneer, a hallmark of Zalszupin’s work, which gives the piece a sculptural and artistic feel. The patchwork veneer is meticulously applied to the cabinets, which are securely mounted onto a top and bottom plate, creating a minimalist aesthetic that is both elegant and functional. The recessed hinges in the cabinet doors and the signature handles, which are drilled out and veneered, further highlight the meticulous craftsmanship that Zalszupin is known for.
Resting on solid square wooden feet, this sideboard is not only a visual delight but also offers ample storage. Behind the three wooden folding doors, you’ll find a well-organized interior: the right side houses four drawers, while the middle section features an open showcase area, perfect for displaying treasured items.
