Sculptural shaped coffee table model Andorinha designed by Jorge Zalszupin and manufactured by his own company L’Atelier, Brazil 1959. In creating both the Andorinha and Pétalas table, inspiration was drawn from folded paper origami structures. Architect Julio Roberto Katinsky, who had been designing for L’Atelier during its beginning, helped Zalszupin during the process of the Andorinha coffee table. The table has a square shape but because of the folded sides it doesn’t look like that. The openings between the feet make the table look very light but the fully wooden top makes sure you don’t miss it wherever you decorate it. The table is made of jacaranda rosewood veneered plywood, even the bottoms, and it is fully refinished. The table has fantastic flames to the rosewoods grain and looks absolutely stunning. Very rare and beautiful coffee table in excellent condition again.
