Amazing post art Deco cocktail table designed by Jacques Adnet, manufactured in his atelier in France 1950s. This striking small cocktail, side or coffee table has signature leather wrapping, and this is a characteristic piece on its own. It has nice and clear lines in the design and a gentle form. With the curves and straight lines in combination, this gives an interesting and characteristic appearance. Jacques Adnet already designing for several years before he started to leather wrap his furniture and being highly recognized for that new and unique way of designing. This specific table has an interesting but minimalist shape as the 1950s were not that classical anymore. The frame is made of flat steel, fully wrapped in black premium leather. Always finished with brass details, in this case brass bolts. The entire table is wrapped in black leather with beautiful hand stitching and a nice patina from age and usage. The glass top was broken so this I replaced for a new one and is in excellent condition. A nice piece from the hand of Jacques Adnet.
