Ingo Maurer large Bulb table lamp Germany 1966

Iconic giant ‘Bulb’ table lamp designed by Ingo Maurer and manufactured by his own company M-Design, Germany 1967. M-Design was founded in the 1960s in Munich, where the company is still based under another name. Ingo Maurer was probably one of the most iconic light designers from the 20^th century. His story started in the 1960s and ended in 2019. You can see what a transformation his work went through as this Bulb table lamp, which was designed in the Pop art period, is one of his earliest works. It is where it started, but for that time, it was a visionary design. And matched perfectly with the age where it was designed. Funny designs, magnified designs were part of the time. This Bulb table lamp is a true icon. This is the largest model available. It has a chrome plated metal base and a clear crystal glass Murano shade. This is the early production with the original M-Design sticker on it. The lamp is in excellent condition with hardly any wear from age or usage. It has its original wiring and works perfectly. Looks best with an E27 half mirrored bulb, up to 100 watts if wanted. A collectors item.

This lamp is checked in our own atelier, cleaned and is suitable for use in the USA. For US usage we could change the plug, or you can get a converter if needed for a floor or table lamp with transformer in it. Feel free to inquire for options.
