Fantastic set of dining chairs designed by Inger Klingenberg for Fristho Franeker, Holland 1960. Fristho attracted Inger Klingenberg as designer in 1958. The most famous design from Inger Klingenberg is the IK-chair. The chair was innovative because the seat and back were detached from the frame. The chair continued in the Fristho collection till the 1970s. These chairs have a solid rosewood frame and are newly upholstered in black vinyl which was originally on them. A fantastic set with comfort seating pleasure.
Danish designer Inger Klingenberg (1932-1997) was educated at the school of interior design in Copenhagen. She established her own design firm in 1958 in Copenhagen and designed furniture, fabrics and jewelry. Her husband was the American designer Ross Littel, an employee of Charles Eames.
