Fantastic shaped brutalist coffee table by Idir Mecibah 1958-2013), produced by Smederij Moerman 1998. This table is from the scrab series designed in the end of the 1980s and produced till the end of the 1990s. The table is made of solid steel with gold leaf square in the middle. Forged steel legs welded to the top. Fantastic large table.
Idir Mecibah died at the age of 55, in Antwerp Belgium This designer was just getting started and had also just signed a contact with the Belgian top furniture brand Durlet. Most of his furniture is not being produced anymore and therefore will be collectibles.
