Ico Parisi Carmogli bench MIM Roma Italy 1958

Rare model M3B ‘Carmogli’ bench designed by Ico Parisi and manufactured by MIM Roma, Italy 1958. This bench is a constructional masterpiece. This beautiful constructed bench could only be designed by an architects mind. Making sure all the proportions and connections are perfectly in balance, easthetically and technically. This bench is made of solid teak wood and has beautiful patinated details in brass. It is still in very good original condition, preserving a nice patina. The slatted top makes the bench proportional light looking, but is also very strong and sturdy. Although the bench is in solid wood, it is not super heavy, makes it easy to move around. We have added 2 cushions in an off white flat bouclé upholstery for more seating comfort, can also be used separately. The bench is marked with the old label by MIM Roma. It was one of the last designs by Ico Parisi for MIM as he left the company shortly after.
