Super rare bookcase model 459 designed by Ico Parisi and manufactured by Angelo de Baggis Cantu, Italy 1955. The bookcase is formed of 2 solid wood carved supports with long, sleek legs at the bottom. The supports arejoined together via four connecting joints, which secure the horizontal design features. The lower panel, which is the biggers, is set on an angle and protrudes from the rest of the piece. The panel has a front lip to keep magazines or books in place and a high back which in turn holds the second, glass panel in place. The upper panel is of equal depth to the support and is finished with a rear slat. This bookcase is bautifully sculpted and made of mahogany veneer, with a glass shelve and brass details. In excellent fully refinifhed condition.
Fully refinished in our own atelier with high quality UV protection lacquer with preservation of authenticity. Also completely structural checked and ready to use.
